HENNIKER, N.H. – The Trinity College Wrestling squad handled host New England College, 41-12, in a match at Bridges Gymnasium Wednesday night. The Bantams have won six straight matches.
First-year Alexander Schaeublin opened the scoring for the Bantams with a 10-1 pin fall win over NEC's Michael Follo. Sophomore Adam Schaeublin followed with a 22-6 technical fall win over John Lafferty to give the Bantams an 11-3 lead.
Junior Chris Perry collected a 3-0 fall over Zach Soda, and then senior Nicholas Crotty delivered an 11-2 pin fall over Dominic DeMaio to extend the Bantams advantage to 23-9. First-year Tucker Vician (7-2), junior Dylan Sofield (3-0) and senior Timothy Glynn (3-0) registered pin fall victories to send Trinity to the 41-12 victory.
In exhibition action, sophomore Sean Thomas posted a 12-6 win over Brayden Esposito, while first-year Andrew Pratt grabbed a major decision victory and a technical fall win at the 141-class. First-years Daniel Echeverria and Austin Edwards added wins on the day for the Bantams.
