NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Trinity College Men's Track team posted seven top-10 finishes, including three New England Division III Championship qualifying performances, at the Ramapo Season Opener at the Armory Track & Field Center Friday morning.
Senior Ethan Wilkie won the shot put event with a throw of 17.05 meters and came in fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.82 meters. Both marks qualified Wilkie for the NE DIII Championships. First year Donovan Koukal-Kollie qualified for NE DIII Championship in the Triple Jump with a leap of 13.00 meters, finishing ninth overall in the event.
Sophomore Zuri Johnson placed fifth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.35 seconds. Senior Toby L'Esperance clocked a seventh-place finish in the mile run (4:21.75), while classmate Sam Strymish finished 10th with a time of 4:23.37. Junior Lars Sippel claimed ninth in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:59.17.
The Bantams will be back in action for the NESCAC Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston on Sunday, January 28th.
