Clinton, N.Y. – The Trinity College Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving teams faced off against host Hamilton College and Colby College in a challenging conference tri-meet on Sunday. Despite tough competition, the Bantams made a strong showing across multiple events, with several standout performances highlighting the day.

The Women's 200 Medley Relay team, consisting of Rachel Kim, Charlotte Murphree, Iris Huerta, and Isabella Tagliaferro, secured a solid 2nd place overall with a time of 1:49.1, setting an early tone for the meet.

In individual events, Kathryn Unverzagt made a notable mark, swimming a personal best in the 1000-yard freestyle, clocking in at 11:18.47, marking her first time competing in that event for Trinity. Ben Lyons and Weston Lowe also swam strong races in the men's 1000 free, with Lowe turning in a lifetime best performance at 10:24.07.

Charlotte Murphree continued her dominant season with a victory in the 50-yard breaststroke, while Iris Huerta impressed with a strong performance in the 100-yard butterfly. Isabelle Tagliaferro also delivered a solid swim in the 100-yard freestyle.

The diving squad also had notable performances. Cass Cronin earned third place finishes in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while Emma Conard finished fourth overall on the 1-meter board. For the men, Owen Schmidt achieved a career-best score on the 1-meter dive while also taking second place on the 3-meter.

Matthew Brown placed 2nd in the 500-yard freestyle, adding to the team's strong showing throughout the meet.

After the competition, Coach Hannah Hagy reflected on the weekend's events, saying, "This was a long and tough weekend for our team. Colby and Hamilton are both strong in-conference teams and we are grateful to have the opportunity to race them early on in the season. Leaving this weekend, we know what we need to work on and look forward to getting back in the pool at the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Cup in two weeks!"

The Bantams will look to build on this experience as they prepare for the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Cup, a two-day meet hosted by Wesleyan University on December 6th-7th.
