#3 Trinity MSQ Down #2 Princeton, 6-3

HARTFORD, Conn. -#3 Trinity Men's Squash displayed a gritty performance in the George A. Kellner Squash Courts as they serve #2 Princeton University their first loss with a 6-3 defeat. The Bantams grow their record 12-0, while the Tigers drop 7-1 overall.

Sophomore Joachim Chuah Han Wen recorded the Bantams first win of the day with a 3-0 sweep against the Tiger's Thomas Rosin (12-10, 11-9, 11-2). Princeton would get the upper hand on the match as they built a 2-1 lead after a 3-1 victory over Bantams' Khamal Cumberbatch (4-11, 8-11, 11-8, 12-14). Followed by a 3-2 win over Trinity's Marawen El Borolossy with set scores of 11-4, 14-12, 5-11, 3-11, 6-11.

The Bantams would go on a 2-0 run as both Julius Benthin and Aly El Tokhy collect 3-0 victories on the hardwood, Bantams lead 3-2 in the match. Trinity surrendered another match as Princteon's Alastair Cho collected a five set victory over Benedek Takacs with set scores of 11-6, 11-8, 9-11, 14-16, 12-14. The match is tied 3-3 heading into the final three matches of the day.

The final three Bantams battled for four sets against their Princeton opponents. Both Danial Izham and Mohamed Sharaf began their match 2-0, wavering in the third as each Tiger collected a set point. Izham and Sharaf both collected a fourth set save, solidifying the match win over Princeton. Abdelrahman Nassar collected the Bantams sixth victory of the day, wrapping up the match 3-1 against Tigers' Avi Agarwal. 

The Bantams will be back in the George A. Kellner Squash Courts on Sunday, Feb 4th at 1PM as they host #1 University of Pennsylvania.
