PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - After a first round bye, #1 Trinity Men's Squash stepped onto the hardwood in the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) National Collegiate Team Championships where they edged Drexel 5-4 in the quarterfinals. Bantams will advance to the semifinals in the Potter Cup where they will compete against #5 Yale University.
Joachim Chuah Han Wen grabbed the first win of the match with 3-2 score over the Dragons' Yuri Pollak Pelbart, Bantams trailed 2-1 in the match. Ahmed Ismail went on to collect a 3-1 victory at the close of the second wave of matches, Drexel held onto their lead, 4-2.
In the final three matches the Bantams caught their second wind as Adbelrahman Nassar notched a 3-1 win to cut the deficit to 4-3 against the Dragons. In the final two matches both Mohamed Sharaf and Julius Benthin registered a pair of 3-1 victories clinching a 5-4 win advancing them to the next round of the championships.
