Box Score 2 KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Trinity College Softball found success on day two as they defeated the University of New England 9-3 followed by a 2-0 win over Ripon College to end the weekend. Bantams grow their record 2-2 in the season while lowering UNE 1-1 and Ripon 0-4.
Bantams senior pitcher Tiffany Stowers tossed a 1 hit shutout against the Ripon RedHawks collecting her 100th career strikeout from the six tossed in the win. Stowers is now 12th in program history for most strikeouts thrown in her career at Trinity.
Against the Red Hawks the Bantams scored their first run in the second inning with a single from A. Alper to send home Emily Goddard. In the fifth Gianna Tito would snag the Bantams second run scoring off of a wild pitch, to put Trinity up 2-0.Â
