| By:

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Saturday two Bantams were crowned All-Americans after their performance at the 2024 NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championship. Senior Gabby Grattan finished 6th overall in women's high jump along with senior Ethan Wilkie placing sixth in men's shot put, both returning to Hartford with All-America honors!

The Trinity College Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams had two from each competing over the weekend, Toby L'Esperance in the Men's 1 Mile, Ethan Wilkie Shot put, Kennedy Mullen Women's 400M, and Gabby Grattan Women's High Jump.

L'Esperance competed on Friday, finishing just seconds over his personal best time at 4:14.42 placing 17th overall. Senior Mullen also competed in the lanes on Friday finishing third in heat three, 16th overall with a time of 57.49, earning her Second-Team All-America. Both seniors had remarkable indoor seasons, advancing to and competing at a deeply competitive NCAA DIII Championship. It is an unbelievable accomplishment for all four of these Bantams.

"I am really proud of this group," began Coach John Michael Mason. "To have four seniors here who have experience at the national level and also have experience NOT qualifying, getting back to this meet in a historically competitive year was nothing short of amazing. They understand what it means to be here. Each of these student athletes have developed over their four years to become some of the best in Trinity history."

Ethan Wilkie tossed a 57-foot mark on his last throw at Nationals for a personal record as well as a new program record, making it the farthest throw in Trinity history for the shot put event. The senior placed 6th overall, and finished the weekend named an All-American for the third time (twice indoor, once outdoor).

Gabby Grattan cleared 1.71 (5'7.25"). This personal record the senior found herself in 6th place overall, being titled an All-American for the first time for indoor, and now three time All-American combined with indoor and outdoor achievements!

"We entered the Championship knowing any four of them could compete for the podium," said Coach Mason, "and we're thrilled to come home with two All-Americans."
