Box Score ORLANDO, FLA. —The Trinity College Men's Tennis team had rallied in their late night match against Franklin and Marshall College, defeating the Diplomats 5-4. Bantams lift 3-1in season, while Franklin and Marshall lower to 2-4.
Eduardo Sanchez-Carrion and Pierce Rutledge managed to come back from a 5-0 deficit to go up 2-1 after the completion of the doubles matches. Enrico Buoro and Brandon Felcher registered the other doubles win with an 8-2 score over the Diplomats pair of Maudsley and Norte.
The level of play through the entirety of singles was unmatched. Despite a loss from Kartik Erodula, Bantams Andrew Nelson and then Brandon Felcher won to put Trinity up 4-2 in the match. With three singles matches remaining Franklin and Marshall would need all three to win the match.
"The entire team really banded together and fought like crazy. The energy was enough to allow Eduardo to crawl back from a break down to win the second set and then the tiebreaker to clinch the overall match at 5-3." added Coach Wilson Nelson
Bantams will be back on the courts to compete against North Central College at 12:30PM Wednesday afternoon.
