CLINTON, N.Y. - The Trinity College Men's Tennis team came back to clinched a 5-4 victory after enter single matches down 2-1 against Hamilton College. The Bantams own a 6-2 record, while Hamilton lowers 6-4 overall. Trinity College will host Wesleyan University on Saturday, March 30th for a 10AM meeting on Assaiante Tennis Center.
Rico Buoro and Brandon Felcher collected the only doubles match victory after downing Continental's Sternberg and Tran, 8-6, for the final.
Hamilton carried over their intensity into singles where they tabbed the first two matches as victories over the Bantams growing their lead, 4-1. With four matches remaining the Bantams relied on Pierce Rutledge, Andrew Nelson, Felcher and Luca Garbati to give them a chance at gold.
With three consecutive wins from Garbati, Rutledge and Felcher after his opponents retirement, knotted the score 4-4 with one match left. Bantams Andrew Nelson showed grit after a three set battle that ended with a third set score of 7(14)-6(12) to clinch the conference victory of 5-4 over the Continentals.
