Four Wrestlers Earn Scholar All-American Honors

HARTFORD, Conn. - Trinity College Bantams proudly celebrate the remarkable academic and athletic accomplishments of four exceptional wrestlers: Adam Frost (Psychology), Tim Glynn (Economics), Matthew Carrozza (Environmental Studies), and Daniel Echeverria (Economics), who have been honored as National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Scholar All-Americans. These individuals truly embody collegiate excellence, showcasing exceptional skill on the wrestling mat while maintaining a steadfast commitment to academic success.

In addition to the accomplishments of those individuals, the Trinity College Men's Wrestling team concluded the year with a notable achievement, securing the 17th spot in the nation for team GPA.

Senior Adam Frost and sophomore Matthew Carrozza were both selected for the NEWA Honorable Mention Team. Frost concluded his senior season with a record of 26-7, boasting 16 pins, 5 technical falls, 2 major decisions, and 2 decisions.Before Nationals this year, Frost worked his way up to #11 in the Northeast Regional Individual rankings. Over his four years at Trinity, he registered a career record of 57-25, with 36 pins, 8 technical falls, and two major decisions. Notably, Frost secured third place in the 174 weight class at the Northeast Regional Championship.

Carrozza, after securing consecutive wins by fall and decision in the 133 weight class, advanced to the quarterfinals where he finished eighth overall. Throughout the season, the sophomore notched a profile of 27-16, including 5 pins, 5 technical falls, 7 major decisions, and 6 decision wins. Carrozza holds a career record of 32-33 at Trinity, with 5 pins, 6 technical falls, and 9 major decisions.

Tim Glynn concluded his collegiate career with a record of 47-38, boasting an impressive 38 pins. Notably, Glynn set the Program Record for 23 pins in a season, a milestone he achieved during his senior year.

Additionally, Alex Schaeublin and Daniel Echeverria were both recognized with NEWA All-Rookie Team honors for their outstanding performances in their debut collegiate seasons. Schaeublin accumulated a record of 39-13, including 6 pins, 9 technical falls, and 10 major decisions. Meanwhile, Echeverria tallied a record of 23-11, with 1 pin, 12 technical falls, and 3 major decisions.
