HARTFORD, Conn. - The Trinity College Women's and Men's Track and Field Team participated in the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship, showcasing remarkable talent. Several Bantams achieved top-3 finishes, earning them the prestigious title of All-NESCAC Finishers. Despite stiff competition, both teams performed admirably, with the women securing a 10th place finish and the men placing 8th.
On the Women's side of the track and in the field, the Bantams took top-three in three events. Gabby Grattan soared to first place in the high jump event, showcasing remarkable skill and determination. Additionally, Kennedy Mullen and Trinity's 4x400 team, comprising Mullen, Cate Kneebone, Sophia Jones, and Emma Almoney, clinched third place finishes in their respective events. These outstanding performances underscore the depth and talent of the Trinity College Track and Field Team.
For the men, Ethan Wilkie showcased his outstanding skills at the championship, clinching first place in the shot put event for the Bantams with an impressive toss of 16.07 meters. He continued his stellar performance by securing a third-place finish in the Hammer Throw, recording a mark of 52.88 meters. With both of these remarkable achievements placing him in the top three, Wilkie earned the title of All-NESCAC Finisher for both events.Â
The Men's 4x100 team of Khamani Hunter, William Addison, Ren Bogan, and Zuri Johnson set a new school record with a time of 42.35.
