Carr, Goldmann Receive All-American Status

| By:

HARTFORD, Conn. – Juniors Jack Carr (Wellesley, Mass.) and Felix Goldmann (Freiburg, Germany) were selected as 2024 Empacher-Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) All-Americans, announced on Friday. For the third year in a row, the Bantams land a pair of rowers on the All-American list with Carr receiving First Team honors and Goldmann earning Second Team status.

In the four-year history of the award, Carr becomes the first rower in program history to be a two-time All-American, pairing a Second Team selection in 2023. Carr becomes the fifth rower to earn First Team status, joining Jack Reid (2021), Tyler Brennan (2022), Nicholas Folosa (2022), and Quin Woods (2023). Goldman becomes the second Second Team selection in program history, joining Jack Carr (2023).

"Jack and Felix are superlative student-athletes," said Trinity College Men's Rowing Head Coach Kevin MacDermott. "They are top-level Varsity oarsmen, members of the Chi Sigma Alpha student-athlete honor society, and now All-Americans.  I am honored to have these two men represent our squad and to be selected for this well-deserved recognition."

Carr and Goldman helped the Bantams to a second-place finish in the Grand Final of the National Invitational Collegiate Regatta (NICR)/New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC) Championships, delivering a time of 6:26.50, which is Trinity's best finish in the event since 2008. The Bantams received an at-large bid to the 2024 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Division III National Championships in May, finishing fourth overall.
