Bantams Secure Third at Hartford Hawk Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Golf team finished 3rd at the Hartford Hawk Invitational held at Gillette Ridge, hosted by the University of Hartford.

Franklin Pierce claimed the title with a team score of +41, with four Ravens finishing in the top four, led by Kesinee Prukmathakul, who recorded the top score of 151 (+7) over the weekend.

Meg Lavinder made an impressive collegiate debut, finishing 9th overall with a total score of 167 (+23). Trinity posted a team score of 342 (+54) after the first round, securing 3rd place as they entered Sunday. The Bantams maintained their position in the final round, mimicking their Saturday performance  finishing solidly in 3rd.

"I'm super proud of our third place finish at the Hartford Hawks Invitational this weekend!" Head Coach Andra Frappier commented on her teams performance this weekend. "This is easily our best finish in program history and Gillette Ridge proved to be a tough test. The Bantams remained resilient through difficult conditions and The best part was that it was a true team effort and everyone had their chance to contribute to the success. The program is really moving in a positive direction and we plan to continue this momentum as we take on Taconic Golf club next week."

Trinity will next travel to Williamstown, Mass., for the Williams Fall Invitational on Saturday, September 28th, hosted by Williams College at Taconic Golf Course. Round one will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, with the second round starting at 9 AM on Sunday.
