WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Trinity College Women's Golf team finished 17th at the Williams Fall Invitational, held at Taconic Golf Course.
Wellesley took the title with a team score of +24, while Sarah Yen placed second overall for Wellesley with a score of 143 (+1). Bowdoin's Emily Renoff was the standout individual, finishing first with a 139 (-3), thanks to a solid performance over the weekend.
For Trinity, Meg Lavinder led the team, finishing 31st with a score of 156 (+14) after shooting five over par on Saturday. Malisha Van was the second scorer for the Bantams, ending with a total of +25. Trinity posted a team score of 327 (+43) in the first round, which put them in 16th place heading into Sunday. The team shot 52 over in the final round, ultimately securing 17th place in the tournament.
Trinity will compete next weekend, October 5th-6th, at the Hamilton Fall Invitational in Clinton, NY, hosted by Hamilton College. Round one is set to begin at 1 PM on Saturday, followed by the second round starting at 9 AM on Sunday. Good luck to the Bantams!
