MEDFORD, Mass. – The Trinity College Men's Tennis squad kicked off their 2024-25 campaign with singles and doubles play at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) New England Regionals at Tufts University over the weekend.

In singles play, senior
Pierce Rutledge cruised through straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 over Sombor Homonnay of Colby Sawyer, before falling to Andreas Sillaste of Amherst, 4-6, 3-6. Sophomore
Luca Garbati took the first set against Nikky Kondamuri of Middlebury, 6-3, before dropping the last two sets, 4-6, 2-6.

In doubles action, the duo of Garbati and first-year
Axel Edstrom rolled past Clark's Ed Shepherd and Ziad Tabbara, 8-3, and then fell to Dylan Walters and Daniel Shemesh of Brandeis, 3-8. The pairing of Rutledge and junior
Brandon Felcher were held off by Paul Dandler and Diego Sosa of Colby, 5-8.

The Bantams will return to the courts when they head to New London, Connecticut for the Connecticut College Invitational on October 5 and 6.
