BRISTOL, R.I. – The Trinity College Wrestling team kicked off the Roger Williams University Quad with a 27-18 victory over Worcester Poly before falling to the host Hawks (37-10) and Johnson & Wales (40-3) Saturday afternoon.
 
Sophomores Alexander Schaeublin, Daniel Echeverria and Andrew Pratt logged a pair of victories on the day. At 125, Schaeublin downed Chris Tringali of Roger Williams by major decision (8-0) and captured the Bantams lone win against Johnson & Wales, defeating Franklin Mason, 8-1. At 141, Echeverria picked up a 17-2 technical fall win over Mason Medina of WPI, followed by a 5-4 victory of Gavin McKenna of Roger Williams. At 154, Pratt tallied a 7-2 win over Joey Baisely (WPI) and a 12-10 win over Jack Forte (RWU).
 
Against WPI, junior Matthew Carrozza rolled to a 7-1 win over Charlie Paris at 133. First-year John Lagana blanked Ryan Hsu, 6-0, at 165, while Nicholas Crotty grabbed a 9-1 win over Theo Sawyers at 184 and first-year Emre Sensoy defeated Trevor Bowen, 5-3, at heavyweight.
