MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Indoor Track and Field team kicked off the 2025 season at the New England Small College Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College on Sunday morning at the New Balance Track in Boston, Mass.
In the triple jump, Bantam sophomore Donovan Koukal-Kollie earned a third-place finish with a personal best mark of 13.69 meters. Sophomore Noah Falvey had a strong showing, finishing 12th in the shot put with a throw of 13.49 meters, followed by a 15th-place finish in the weight throw (13.42 meters), setting personal bests in both events.
The Bantams' distance medley relay squad of sophomore Sam Benham, first-year Calix McCormick, senior Lars Sippel, and first-year Brendan Burm placed fifth overall. In the 4x400 relay, Trinity's team of senior Nolan McKenna, junior Zuri Johnson, first-year Liam Kelly, and first -year Tyler Johnson clocked in at 3:22.46, securing third place.
Individually, McKenna finished 13th in the 200-meter dash and took second in the 400-meter run, earning spots in the New England Division III Championships for both events. Zuri Johnson also earned a spot in the DIII championships with his third-place finish in the 400-meter, while Liam Kelly followed closely with a sixth-place finish, also qualifying for New Englands.
Sam Benham ran a personal best in the 1-mile, finishing 11th overall and securing a qualification for the New England Division III Championships.
