PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Trinity College Wrestling squad went 1-3 during the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Duals at Johnson & Wales University Sunday afternoon. The Bantams grabbed a 36-15 win over Plymouth State, but fell to Western New England (23-18), Roger Williams (30-14), and Some (27-16).
 
Sophomore Alexander Schaeublin posted a perfect 4-0 record on the day, capturing three wins by decision and one by technical fall. Junior Matthew Carrozza went unblemished at 3-0, including a pinfall victory, while first-year Ty Trickle was 2-0 with a major decision victory over Jake Craig of Southern Maine, the #2 ranked wrestler in the country. Graduate Nicholas Crotty, senior Chris Perry and sophomore Andrew Pratt each tallied a 2-2 record on the day.
 
The Bantams will return to action when they welcome Hunter College and Vermont State University-Castleton to the Trinity Memorial Field House for a tri-match on Saturday, February 1 at 12:00 p.m.
