SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Trinity College Men's Golf team finished five strokes from the top of the leaderboard, taking second overall at the Skidmore Fall Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College, at the Saratoga Spa State Golf Course over the weekend.
What Happened:
- The Bantams fired a team score of 869 across 54 holes of play, carding a 295 in the first round, followed by back-to-back 287 in the final two rounds.
- Spencer Korona led the Bantams with a team-low 215, including a two-under 70 in the second round, with eight birdies to finish one stroke under par.
- Charlie Mullin grabbed a share of ninth overall with a 217, shooting a team-low three-under 69 in the second round, along with a pair of 74s. Mullin registered a team-high 16 birdies across three rounds.
- Julian Ragosa finished tied at 14th with a 218 (72-74-72) with seven birdies, while Brian Campbell took 17th with a 219, including a team-low three-under 69 in the third round and the team's lone eagle in the second round
- Mason Bowie rounded out the Bantam golfers, posting a 231 (80-76-75) with three birdies to take a share of 58th overall.
- Thomas Chalfant competed as an individual, finished tied at 30th with a 223 (79-71-73) with a season-high eight birdies.
- Amherst won the event with a team score of 864, followed by Trinity, Skidmore (874), New York University (884) and Bowdoin (886) to round out the Top 5 of the team leaderboard.
- Derek Johnson of Western New England University was the individual medalist, carding a score of 211 (-5).

- The Bantams will wrap up their Fall schedule at the Ekwanok Sap Bucket Challenge, hosted by Middlebury College, at Ekwanok Country Club on Tuesday, October 14 at 12:30 p.m.
- Trinity has won the event over the last two seasons, including a 15-stroke victory last season.
