NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — The Trinity College women's tennis team wrapped up its fall season this past weekend at the New England Women's Invitational Tennis Tournament (NEWITT), hosted by Smith College.
What Happened:
The NEWITT Tournament followed a Billie Jean King Cup–style format, where each round consisted of two singles matches and one doubles match. The team that secured two of the three total matches advanced to the next round.
A Flight
Allie Francis and Emilia Romano represented Trinity in the A Flight, facing a challenging slate of opponents. The duo competed hard in each matchup but fell in three straight rounds:
