Women's Golf Ninth at Polar Bear Shootout

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Trinity College Women's Golf team placed ninth at the 2025 Polar Bear Shootout, hosted by Bowdoin College, at the Brunswick Golf Club over the weekend.
 
What Happened:
  • The Bantams delivered a steady performance, firing a matching 328 in both rounds of the tournament to finish with a 656 at ninth overall.
  • Meg Lavinder led the Bantams with a team-low 157 (76-81), including a team-high four birdies, to finish at 34th.
  • CC Kaplan carded a 163 (85-78) with three birdies and an eagle, one of just 16 eagles converted during the tournament, to place 46th.
  • Mia Lombardi finished 52nd with a 166, tallying a pair of 83s with a trio of birdies, while Himena Yamene was four stroke back in 56th with a 170 (84-86)
  • Koto Freeman took 71st with a 180 (92-88), and Kira Kilgore sat one stroke back in 72nd with a 181 (91-90).
  • Williams College won the event with a team score of 562, finishing 22 strokes under par.
  • Natalie Cheong of Williams was the individual medalist, shooting a 139, including a tournament-low 67 in the opening round.

  • The Bantams will wrap up their Fall campaign at the Battle of Bulls Bridge, hosted by the University of Hartford, at Bulls Bridge Golf Club in Kent, Connecticut on October 7.
