BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Trinity College Women's Golf team placed ninth at the 2025 Polar Bear Shootout, hosted by Bowdoin College, at the Brunswick Golf Club over the weekend.
 
What Happened:

• The Bantams delivered a steady performance, firing a matching 328 in both rounds of the tournament to finish with a 656 at ninth overall.
• Meg Lavinder led the Bantams with a team-low 157 (76-81), including a team-high four birdies, to finish at 34^th.
• CC Kaplan carded a 163 (85-78) with three birdies and an eagle, one of just 16 eagles converted during the tournament, to place 46^th.
• Mia Lombardi finished 52^nd with a 166, tallying a pair of 83s with a trio of birdies, while Himena Yamene was four stroke back in 56^th with a 170 (84-86)
• Koto Freeman took 71^st with a 180 (92-88), and Kira Kilgore sat one stroke back in 72^nd with a 181 (91-90).
• Williams College won the event with a team score of 562, finishing 22 strokes under par.
• Natalie Cheong of Williams was the individual medalist, shooting a 139, including a tournament-low 67 in the opening round.
