Portabales and Romo Lopez Earn First Collegiate Wins In 7-2 Victory over Ephs

HARTFORD, CONN. – The No. 2 Trinity College men's squash team opened its 2025–26 campaign with a strong 7–2 victory over Williams College in New England Small College Athletic Conference action. The Bantams start the season 1–0 overall and in the league, while the Ephs move to 0–1.

How It Happened

  • Trinity dominated the day with six clean sweeps, as Benedek Takacs, Low Wa-Sern, Huzaifa Ibrahim, Segundo Portabales, Daniel Simon, and Andrik Lim each earned 3–0 victories over their Williams opponents.

  • At the No. 6 position, Javier Romo Lopez delivered a gritty five-game reverse sweep to secure his first win as a Bantam. Portabales also recorded his first collegiate victory at the No. 4 spot.
