ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 2 Trinity College men's squash team handed No. 10 Cornell its first loss of the season with a dominant 9–0 sweep on Wednesday afternoon at the Belkin Squash Courts. The Bantams begin the season 3–0 overall, while the Big Red drop to 2–1.
How It Happened
Trinity rolled to seven 3–0 victories, with Joachim Chuah Han Wen, No. 19 Benedek Takacs, No. 21 Low Wa-Sern, No. 20 Segundo Portabales, Dmytro Shcherbakov, Eyad Awad, and Andrik Lim all winning in straight sets.
In the No. 7 spot, senior Daniel Simon bounced back from an opening-game setback (11–8) to complete a reverse sweep over Cornell's Roman Bicknell.
At No. 4, sophomore No. 22 Huzaifa Ibrahim earned a gritty five-game win, taking the final two sets to lock in a 3–2 victory.
