HARTFORD, CONN. – The No. 5 Trinity College women's squash team handed No. 7 Cornell its first loss of the season with a commanding 8–1 victory on Wednesday afternoon. The Bantams improve to 3–0 overall, while the Big Red drop to 2–1.
How It Happened
Trinity's Kara Lincou and Hannah Chukwu posted dominant 3–0 wins, with neither allowing their opponent to reach double digits in any set.
First-years Doyce Lee, Malak Aly, Varvara Esina, Fabiola Cabello, Elisenda Ruiz-Kaiser, and Varvara Kliueva each battled through four-set matches to secure 3–1 victories for the Bantams.
In the top spot, first-year Thanusaa Uthrian was edged by No. 23–ranked Xin Ying Yee.
