Wrestling Places Fourth at RIT Invitational

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Trinity College Wrestling squad placed fourth at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Invitational on Saturday, delivering their best finish in the event since the 2022-23 season.
 
 
What Happened:
  • Alexander Schaeublin claimed second overall at 125, posting a 4-1 record with two pin falls and a technical fall.
  • Maverick Heimbuck delivered a second-place finish at 165 on a 4-1 record with a pin fall, technical fall and a major decision.
  • Matthew Carrozza finished third at 133, notching a 4-1 record with one technical fall and one major decision.
  • Andrew Pratt took fifth at 157 with a 4-2 record, behind a technical fall and a major decision, while Austin Edwards tallied a 3-2 record with two pin falls to finish fifth at 165.
  • John Lagana took fifth at 174 with a 4-2 mark behind a technical fall and a major decision, Emre Sensoy split fifth and sixth place due to a six-match rule after posting a 5-1 record with two major decisions, and Ty Trickle grabbed sixth at 149 with a 3-2 mark on two technical falls and a pin fall.
  • Nick Ebrahimi (285) and Durkin Stankevich (149) each registered four victories, while Tucker Vician (184) recorded a trio of victories.
  • Daniel Echeverria (141) and Sebastian Hiller (184) delivered two wins apiece.
