SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Trinity College Wrestling team registered a 1-2 record during the Western New England Quad Saturday afternoon. The Bantam dismantled Plymouth State, 50-5, but fell to Southern Maine (31-12) and the host Golden Bears (30-10).
 
Junior Matthew Carrozza and sophomore Alexander Schaeublin registered 3-0 records on the day, while sophomores Daniel Echeverria and Andrew Pratt went 2-1. Carrozza grabbed two wins by decision and a dominant 21-5 technical fall victory. Schaeublin notched a pair of decision victoires with a forfeit, and Echeverria posted a major decision victory (13-2) and a win by pinfall. Pratt picked up a win by decision and forfeit.
 
The Bantams will be back in action when they travel to Bridgewater State University for a quad match against American International College, Rhode Island College and the host Bears on Friday, February 14 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
