HARTFORD, Conn. — Four Trinity College student-athletes have been named to the 2024–25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This prestigious award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence in athletic performance and academic achievement.
Representing the Bantams on this year's Academic All-District® Team are senior Eva Beiga, sophomore Hannah Flis, sophomore Charlotte Murphree, and senior Bridget Kahan.
Murphree, in particular, had an outstanding season in the pool. She qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:18.66, achieved during Trinity's final home meet against Wheaton. She also posted an NCAA B-cut time of 1:03.85 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the NESCAC Championships. With her qualification, Murphree becomes just the seventh swimmer in program history to compete at the NCAA Championships.
To be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale), be significant contributors to their team, and meet competition requirements — either by participating in at least five meets or placing among the top eight at a conference championship. Each institution is limited to four nominations.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming and diving student-athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® recipients will be announced on April 22.
