#1 Men's Rowing Claims Remley Cup

| By:
WORCESTER, Mass. – The top-ranked Trinity College Men's Rowing Team swept four races, including the Varsity 8, to secure the 2025 Remley Cup at Lake Quinsigamond Saturday afternoon.

The Bantams 1V8 boat captured the 2025 Remley Cup with a time of 6:11.6, defeating the field of Colby, Marietta, host Worcester Poly and Ithaca by more than 13 seconds. The Trinity 2V8 boat grabbed the victory with a nearly four-second victory over Marietta with a time of 6:30.8. The 3V8 crew took down Colby and WPI with a time of 6:42.3, and then the 4V8 team logged nearly a 30-second win over the host Engineers.

"Every crew performed well on the racecourse today," said Trinity College Head Coach Kevin MacDermott. "Coming away with solid victories against strong programs is always a positive outcome, and every boat gained valuable experience heading into our Championship racing season.  We also hope to return to full strength soon; illness led to the unfortunate cancellation of our 5th Varsity 4.  Every athlete has worked incredibly hard through the year, and I hope that each is able to demonstrate their strength and speed in racing. We will return to Worcester in two weeks and feel well prepared to perform at our best."

The Bantam boats will return to action when Trinity heads to the New England Rowing Championships at Lake Quinsigamond on May 3.
