No. 53 Men’s Tennis Defeats Connecticut College, 6-1

HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 53-ranked Trinity College men's tennis team earned a commanding 6-1 win over NESCAC foe Connecticut College on Saturday morning in the Trinity College Memorial Field House. With the victory, the Bantams improve to 6-4 overall and 1-4 in conference play, while the Camels drop to 10-6 overall and 1-4 in the NESCAC.

Trinity opened the match strong, sweeping all three doubles contests with identical 6-3 scores. The Bantams carried their momentum into singles play, where they secured five straight-set victories from John Pope, Luca Garbati, Axel Edstrom, Sam Park, and Benjamin Singer.

Andrew Nelson battled through a tight match at the No. 4 singles spot. After taking the first set 6-2, he dropped the second 2-6 and fell just short in the super tiebreaker, 4-6.
