Women's Golf Third at Bantams/Hawks Spring Invite

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The Trinity Women's Golf team placed third in a six-team field at the Bantams/Hawks Spring Invitational over the weekend at Tumble Brook Country Club.

The Bantams carded a team score of 706 (351-355), finishing eight strokes back of Bates for second place. Meg Lavinder led Trinity with a team-low 164, including a team-low 80 in the second round to take a share of third overall. Malisha Van took 12th with a 175 (88-87), followed by Catherine Wallace tied at 15ht with a 182 (89-93). Koto Freeman and Selam Olson each fired a 187 to take a share of 19th overall. Mia Lombardi (82-86) and Lauren Calvillo (95-84) competed as an individuals, placing  sixth and 14th overall, respectively.

Hamilton won the event with a team score of 650 (328-322), followed by Bates with a 698 (339-359), Trinity, Assumption at fourth with a 730 (352-378), Bentley in fifth with a 761 (386-375), and Hartford rounded out the field with a 793 (391-402).

The Bantams will return to the links when they travel to Skidmore College for the Tim Brown Invitational at Ballston Spa Country Club from April 12-13.
