Men's Golf Fourth at Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Trinity College Men's Golf team placed fourth overall after two days of action at the 2025 Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, at Ralph Myhre Golf Club this weekend.
 
What Happened:
  • The Bantams fired a team score of 603, improving by three strokes on Day 2.
  • First-year Parker Knoll led the Bantams with a team-low 147 (74-73) to finish with a share of eighth overall.
  • Sophomore Charlie Mullin sat one stroke back in 14th with a 148 (73-75), while senior Spencer Korona shot matching 77s to finish in 41st with a 154.
  • Junior Thomas Chalfant improved by nine strokes during the final 18 holes, finishing tied at 72 with a 159 (84-75), while first-year Julian Ragosa grabbed a share of 86th with a 164 (79-85).
  • Senior Henry Reilly competed as an individual and carded a 146 (73-73) to finished tied at sixth.
  • Amherst won the event with a team score of 584, followed by Babson (588), Middlebury (598), Trinity and Skidmore (605) to round out the Top 5 on the team leaderboard.
 
Up Next:
  • The Bantams will return to the link when they travel to Williamstown, Massachusetts for the Williams College Fall Invitational on September 20-21 at Taconic Golf Club.
  • Last year, Trinity finished 7th in a 19-team field.
  • Chalfant led the Bantams with an eighth-place finish, shooting a 149 over two rounds.
