NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Trinity College men's and women's cross-country teams returned to the course Saturday at the Connecticut College Invitational. The Bantam men finished 24th in the Blue race and 23rd in the White race, while the women placed 22nd in the White race and 19th in the Blue race.

Men's 8K

• The Bantams tallied 668 points in the 8,000-meter Blue race, while recording 588 points in the White race.
• Sophomore Nielsen Kasser led Trinity in the Blue race, crossing the finish line in 116th place with a time of 25:46.1. Also finishing among the top 200 runners were sophomore Lysander Duffield (26:02.0), senior Dolan Pols (26:12.5), junior Tim Hamilton (26:15.1), and sophomore Evan Small (26:33.5).
• Five Bantams competed in the Men's White race, with junior Tyler Johnson leading Trinity after clocking a time of 26:34.7 to secure 70th place.
• First-year Douglas Smith (27:02.0), sophomore Xavier Ohl (27:16.7), sophomore Aaron Roberts (27:34.4), and first-year Alex Hammar (28:21.5) rounded out Trinity's finishers in the White race.

Women's 6K

• The Bantams tallied 527 points in the 6,000-meter Blue race to secure 19th place, while recording 592 points in the White race for a 22nd-place finish.
• Senior Paige Jaenicke led the Bantams in the Blue race, crossing the finish line in 39th place with a time of 21:47.1. Fellow senior Ava Del Vescovo followed closely behind, clocking a time of 21:53.8 to secure 46th place.
• Sophomore Nora Butterly (23:17.4), first-year Maile Shinmoto (23:30.3), and first-year Madison Hussey (24:02.1) rounded out Trinity's top five finishers in the Blue race.
• In the Women's White race, sophomore Ava DePeau paced the Bantams with a 98th-place finish, clocking a time of 24:14.4. Junior Lauren Hunt followed in 134th place with a time of 24:38.4.
• Sophomore Molly McGinley (24:51.0), first-year Ella Reagan (25:03.2), and sophomore Mei-Ling Bielagus (25:10.0) added to Trinity's team score in the White race.
• Also competing in the White race were sophomores Rio Gladchun (25:37.2), senior Zoe Maggioni (25:40.6), first-year Catherine Bustamante (25:40.7), and first-year Leanna Dunlaevy (26:07.7).
