HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the CCSU Mini Meet hosted by Central Connecticut State University on Friday, October 23^rd. The Bantam women securing a third-place in the 3000m finish with 87 points, while the men placed fifth overall with 153 points in the 5000m.

Women's Race

• The Bantams captured third place overall, tallying 87 points behind a pair of top-10 finishes from seniors Ava Del Vescovo and Paige Jaenicke.
• Del Vescovo paced Trinity with a fourth-place finish, crossing the line in 9:56.4. Fellow senior Jaenicke followed in seventh place, clocking a time of 10:05.0.
• First-year Maile Shinmoto added a 23rd-place finish with a time of 10:40.9, while sophomore Ava DePeau (10:57.5) and junior Lauren Hunt (11:04.5) rounded out Trinity's top five finishers, placing 36th and 39th, respectively.
• Senior Annabell Sorensen (11:08.3) and first-year Madison Hussey (11:09.9) followed closely behind, finishing 40th and 41st, respectively.
• The Bantams had four additional runners finish within the top 50, including first-year Cassidy Bruno (44th, 11:16.1), senior Zoe Maggioni (45th, 11:18.4), sophomore Molly McGinley (47th, 11:21.5), and first-year Rachel Quadrato (48th, 11:23.4).

Men's Race

• The Bantams secured fifth place overall, tallying 153 points.
• Sophomore Lysander Duffield led Trinity with a 32nd-place finish, clocking a time of 15:31.3.
• First-year Tommy Basinger followed in 39th place with a time of 15:39.3, while fellow first-year Brian Smith crossed the finish line in 45th place, clocking 15:49.7.
• Senior Dolan Pols (15:51.3) and sophomore Evan Small (15:53.5) rounded out Trinity's top five finishers, placing 48th and 49th, respectively.
• Junior Tyler Johnson finished just behind Small in 50th place, clocking a time of 15:53.6, while junior Jack Blanchfield added a 58th-place finish with a time of 16:04.1.

The Bantams will head to Middlebury, VT Saturday, October 31^st for the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Middlebury College. The races will begin at 11AM.
