PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Trinity College men's wrestling edged Bridgewater State University, 26–25, before earning a decisive 27–17 victory over host Rhode Island College to finish 2–0 at the RIC Tri-Match.
The turning point in the opener came in the final bout of the night. Senior Matthew Carrozza secured a 3–2 decision against Ethan Buonanducci, the New England Wrestling Association's No. 4-ranked wrestler, to seal the one-point win for the Bantams.
In the nightcap against Rhode Island College, Chase Ledbury and Nicholas Ebrahimi delivered momentum-swinging bonus-point victories. Ledbury pinned Scott Lallas at 3:54 in the 165-pound match, while Ebrahimi stuck Jaden Tesher—ranked No. 8 in NEWA at heavyweight—in 2:37.
