Trickle Advances to Nationals as Bantams Land Four on Podium at NCAA Regionals

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Trinity College Men's Wrestling posted a team score of 72.5 as four wrestlers reached the podium at the 2026 NCAA Division III New England Regional, hosted by the United States Coast Guard Academy over the weekend.
 
What Happened:
  • Ty Trickle placed third overall in the 141-pound weight class, earning a trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from March 13-14.
  • Trickle is the first Bantam since Adam Schaeublin and Chris Perry in 2023 to qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
  • Matthew Carrozza placed fourth overall in the 133-pound bracket, while Emre Sensoy grabbed fifth in the 285-pound weight class.
  • John Lagana reached the quarterfinals in the 165-pound class, Luke Hutton posted a pair of wins at 197, and Andrew Pratt, William Meeker and Tucker Vician went 1-2 at 149, 174, and 184, respectively.
