ORLANDO, Fla. – The Trinity College women's tennis team picked up a pair of spring break victories, defeating the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, 5-2, on Wednesday afternoon before edging Springfield College, 4-3, on Thursday.

Against Eau Claire, the Bantams set the tone early by sweeping doubles play to secure the opening point. Trinity carried that momentum into singles action with strong straight-set victories from Naisha Rathi, Kendall Cedar, and Hellena Trojer.

Brennan Damon delivered a hard-fought win at singles, rebounding after dropping the first set to defeat Delaney Hanson in a match tiebreak, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).

In doubles, the pairings of Allie Francis and Emilia Romano (6-2) and Brennan Damon and Julia Clark (6-4) led the Bantams' dominant performance.

On Thursday against Springfield, Trinity once again claimed the doubles point with wins from Francis/Romano (6-2) and Clark/Damon (6-4).

The Pride responded by taking three of the first four singles matches, but the Bantams closed strong. Hellena Trojer and Elise Brennan each earned convincing straight-set victories to keep Trinity in contention.

Emilia Romano sealed the match for the Bantams at No. 4 singles, grinding out a 7-5, 6-4 victory to clinch the 4-3 win.
