PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 5-ranked Trinity College Women's Squash team was unable to defend its championship title Friday evening, falling 8-1 to No. 3 Harvard University in the quarterfinals of the College Squash Association Team Championship. Trinity closes the 2025-26 season with a 14-5 record.

The Crimson avenged both of their championship losses to the Bantams this season, first with a 7-2 midseason victory and now with the quarterfinal win to advance in the tournament.

The Bantams had an opening tournament run against #12 Tufts University in the round of 16, boasting a loud 9-0 win over the Jumbos. 

How It Happened

Senior Fabiola Cabello recorded the lone victory for the Bantams in the quarterfinal matchup against the Crimson. Earlier this season when Trinity faced Harvard, Cabello battled Dixon Hall. This time, the senior squared off against Jomana Shehab and claimed the match in a reverse sweep after dropping the opening set, 12-10.

Doyce Lee faced the same opponent she saw in January, Ocean Ma. Lee was unable to improve to 2-0 against Ma, falling in a three-set battle to her Crimson opponent.
