WORCESTER, Mass. — The Bantams will return home with two titles from Lake Quinsigamond, as both Varsity Eight boats rowed to victory at the WPI/Clark Invitational, hosted in Worcester, Mass.

What Happened

Varsity 8

• The Varsity Eight final saw a 2.2-second win by the Bantams over NESCAC member Bates College, stealing the show with a comeback push just before the finish line to claim the victory in 7:07.2. Trinity's 1V was led by Julianna Boris (coxswain), Eliza Terrell (stroke), Zoe Ritter, Tessa Griffin, Allie Newman, Kaitlyn Mackin, Scarlette Coke, Addie Newman, and Sophia Romano (bow).

2nd Varsity 8

• Trinity's 2nd Varsity Eight finished with a time of 7:23.6, seven seconds ahead of second-place William Smith. The Bantams' shell was led by Nordellis (coxswain) and her crew of Lou Szal (stroke), Ellie Jane Isaac, Riley Reynolds, Eleanor Burke, Juliana Golas, Eva Joslin, Erin Barbakoff, and Madeline Siris (bow).

"The team raced really well today. I am proud of all of their efforts. I'm so thankful for the team to have a chance to practice on our championship course against some of the best competition in division III. It's invaluable for the team to have a day with beautiful weather on a perfect course against outstanding competition. There's no better way to learn how to move the boat under  pressure. This team continues to step up when it counts and not shy away from the work. Looking forward to starting back up again on Tuesday and preparing for our race against Williams and Wesley next weekend"
