SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Trinity College Women's Golf team finished 11
th overall at the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College, at The Orchards Golf Club over the weekend.
What Happened:
- The Bantams registered a team score of 664, shooting a 336 in round one, but improved by eight strokes on day two with a 328.
- CC Kaplan led Trinity, shooting a team-low 163 (84-79) with a team-high four birdies to finish at 40th overall.
- Mia Lombardi carded a team-low 77 in the opening round, followed by an 88 in the second round to take 46th with a 165.
- Meg Lavinder placed 52nd with a 169 (86-83) and two birdies, while Himena Yamane was one stroke back in 53rd with a 170 (89-81) and three birdies.
- Koto Freeman took 60th with a 176 (91-85), while Kira Kilgore finished 98th (98-91) as an individual. Both recorded one birdie during the event.
- New York University won the event with a team score of 597, followed by Williams (603), Amherst A (604), Amherst B (621) and Wellesley (629) to round out the Top 5 on the leaderboard.
- Grace Zhan was the individual medalist with a tournament-low 142 (72-70) across 36 holes of play.
