HARTFORD, Conn. – Junior triple jumper Donovan Koukal-Kollie earned New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Men's Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week honors, announced early Tuesday morning (April 14).
Koukal-Kollie picks up his first NESCAC Athlete of the Week honor, and marks Trinity College's first NESCAC Men's Track & Field weekly award since Ethan Wilkie in the spring of 2024 (4/16/2024).
Over the weekend at the Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College, the junior posted a 14.35m jump on his first attempt, recording the top distance in the meet. Sophomore Tafari Byfield-Felton (Fitchburg State) finished second with a jump of 13.42m.
During the indoor season, Koukal-Kollie logged a personal best of 14.50m at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Feb. 13–14), where he claimed first place. Across both indoor and outdoor competition this year, Koukal-Kollie has totaled four first-place finishes and three additional podium (top-three) finishes.
Koukal-Kollie is currently ranked 20th in the men's triple jump across Division III.
