Trinity Claim All Varsity Eight Races at Remley Cup

WORCESTER, Mass. — No. 1 Trinity College men's rowing swept all Varsity Eight races at the Remely Cup, hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) on Saturday morning at Lake Quinsigamond.

What Happened

Varsity 8

  • The Bantams claimed the top spot in the Men's Varsity Eight with a commanding margin of more than 12 seconds. Trinity crossed the line in 5:44.78, ahead of Marietta, which finished second in 5:57.63.

2nd Varsity 8

  • Trinity's second Varsity Eight also secured first place, posting a time of 6:00.6. They finished comfortably ahead of Marietta's second boat, which recorded a time of 6:07.8.

3rd Varsity 8

  • Trinity entered two boats in the third Varsity Eight race, with both turning in strong performances. Trinity A finished first with a time of 6:08.2, holding a seven-second lead over Colby College B. Trinity B placed third (6:20.12), finishing five seconds behind Colby B. Colby's A boat followed in fourth, three seconds behind Trinity B.
