Men's Golf Finish 8th at Farmingdale Spring Invitational

FARMINGDALE, N.Y.–– The Trinity College Men's Golf Team took home 8th place at the Farmingdale State Spring Invitational over the weekend. 16 teams participated in the event which was played at the Bethpage State Park Red Course. The par 70 course was playing at 6,685 yards with a scoring average of 74.36 across the weekend.  

What Happened: 

  • Trinity finished the tournament at +21 after a +15 day two of the tournament.  

  • Charlie Mullin finished T-8 at +1 for the weekend with rounds of 69 and 72 

  • Spencer Korona shot 67 on the first day followed by a 76 on day two which was good for T-19 on the weekend at +3. 

  • Parker Kroll who played as an individual also finished at +3 and T-19 (70, 73). 

  • Thomas Chalfant opened with a 75 before tying Trinity's low ball on Sunday with 72 to finish at +7 for the weekend. 

  • Babson won the tournament at +5 followed by Amherst (+8) and Bowdoin (+13) 

  • Jan Ebbinge from Amherst was the low individual for the weekend at -3 (68-69).  

Next Up 

  The Bantams will prepare to host the NESCAC Championship's this coming weekend at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in East Haddam, CT. Trinity will tee off on Friday in a grouping with Hamilton, Amherst, and Tufts beginning at 12:40.
