Abby Alper Named NESCAC Player of the Week

| By:
HADLEY, Mass. – Trinity College Softball senior Abby Alper (Weston, Fla.) was tabbed as the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Softball Player of the Week, announced by the league office Monday. This is Alper's first Player of the Week honor, and she's the first Bantam to collect the award since Kennedy Rogers in April 2024.

Alper led the Bantams to victories over Bowdoin and Colby, posting a 1.101 OPS out of the leadoff spot with six hits, six runs scored, four stolen bases, three walks, and two RBI. Against the Polar Bears, Alper went 3-for-6 with four runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI, while tallying two putouts with an assist from centerfield to prevent a game-tying run. The senior added a 3-for-7 day with two runs scored, two stolen bases, a double, and an RBI in a split with the Mules.

Alper and the Bantams will be back on the diamond when they host the University of Hartford in a non-conference doubleheader at the Trinity Softball Field on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
