Women's Golf FIfth at UHart Spring Invitational

HEBRON, Conn. – The Trinity College Women's Golf team placed fifth overall in the six-team field at the 2026 University of Hartford Spring Invitational at Blackledge Country Club Saturday afternoon.
 
What Happened:
  • The Bantams carded a team score of 325 to finish fifth overall in the 18-hole event.
  • CC Kaplan led Trinity with a team-low 76 to grab a share of 3rd overall on the individual leaderboard.
  • Meg Lavinder placed 17th with an 81, followed by Kira Kilgore two strokes back at 21st.
  • Himena Yamane shot an 89 to finish 29th, while Koto Freeman placed 32nd (91) and Selam Olson grabbed 35th (94) as individuals.
  • 15th-ranked Wellesley College won the event with a score of 304, followed by 13th-ranked Middlebury (309), Wesleyan (311), 22nd-ranked Babson (317), Trinity and the host Hawks (357).
  • Sarah Yeh and Grace Sun of Wellesley College shared the individual medalist with a score of 75.
 
Up Next:
  • The Bantams will be back on the links when they travel to Orchards Golf Course for the Jack Leaman Invitational, hosted by Amherst College, from April 11-12.
  • Last season, Trinity finished 10th in a rain-shortened event.
