Women's Track Lands Five First-Place Finishes at Springfield Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Trinity College Women's Track and Field team grabbed 28 top ten finishes, including five first-place finishes, during the 2026 Springfield College Classic Saturday afternoon.
 
What Happened:
  • All-American Olivia Carney posted a pair of first-place finishes, taking first in the 100-meter dash (12.19) and the 200-meter dash (25.95).
  • Haley Bilodeau logged two first-place finishes in the javelin throw (35.78m) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.66), along with a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.85).
  • Jenna Najjar won the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.67 seconds and took ninth in the 200-meter dash (26.80).
  • In the 1500-meter run, Ava Del Vescovo placed second with a time of 4:54.74, followed by Maggie Furer in third at 4:57.09, Piper Morris in eighth (5:09.92), and Lauren Hunt in tenth at 5:16.27.
  • Amaya Pendleton took second in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.94 meters, along with a seventh-place finish in the shot put at 10.93 meters.
  • In the 800-meter run, Nora Butterly grabbed second at 2:25.73, trailed by Paige Orr at third (2:26.76), Anna Sorensen at fifth (2:27.27) and Elizabeth Forestiere at seventh (2:33.63).
  • Hope Jackson finished fourth in the 400-meter dash (59.86) and fifth in the 200-meter dash (26.42), while Brooke Scott took sixth in the 200 (26.62) and ninth in the 100-meter dash (12.92).
  • Caitlin Lennox placed sixth in the pole vault (2.55m), Katie Lemke took sixth in the discus (32.67m) and Caitlin Fitzgerald was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.48).
  • Katherine Tran recorded a seventh-place finish in the long jump (4.85m) and eighth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (16.20), and Molly McGinley finished tenth in the 5000-meter run at 20:14.80.
  • The 4x400 meter relay team of Mei-Ling Bielagus, Fitzgerald, Forestiere and Ava DuBois logged a second-place finish with a time of 4:18.02

  • The Bantams will be back in action when they travel to New London, Connecticut for the Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College, from April 10-11.
