No. 62 Cardinals Down Bantams, 7-0

HARTFORD, CT – The Trinity College men's tennis team fell to the visiting No. 62 Wesleyan University, 7-0, Wednesday afternoon on the Paul Assaiante Tennis Courts.  The Bantams lower to 4-8, 1-4 in conference play, while the Cardinals rise to 4-6, 2-2 in the NESCAC.

Trinity's duo of Luca Garbati and Maxim Golubenko and Rico Buoro and Thompson Brown each narrowly fell in their doubles matches Garbati/Golubenko came up short 7-5 to their Cardinal opponents, while Buoro/Brown kept it close with a 7-6 finish.

First-year Golubenko dropped his first set 6-4, but was able to rebuttal and reverse the score in set two winning 6-4. In the final tie breaker match, Golubenko was edged 1-0 surrendering the match point.
