"The Trinity women rowed their hearts out in the grand final of NCAAs," said Trinity College Head Coach
Peter Graves. "Both races are incredibly challenging and very close. The 2v rowed a brilliant race and finished third in what the referee called the closest race she has ever seen. We were 0.002 seconds out of second place. That margin was described to me as the width of half a pinky. If that result had gone the other way, we would have tied for 2nd in team points. That's just how close the teams were and the racing was. In the next race, the varsity eight avenged the 2v's result against Williams, and beat the Williams eight for the first time all season by .06 seconds finishing in 4th place. Another insanely small margin. When the dust settled, we ended up finishing 4th as a team, which is a fantastic result for us. The racing across all of these teams has been so close all season. I am so proud of this team. They left no stone unturned in their training. In their the racing, both boats had incredible sprints to the finish line, leaving it all out in the water. They were clearly having fun! Trinity won the "dance-off" that occurred amongst the teams at the award ceremony, possibly the most important outcome of the day. It's been a wonderful season and I will miss this team!"
