SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Trinity College Men's Tennis team collected 29 victories, including six bracket championships, during two days of action at the Garnet Charger Invitational, hosted by Union College over the weekend.
 
What Happened:

• On the doubles side, the duo of Luca Garbati and Max Golubenko captured the Flight A East Championships with a trio of victories, while the team of Andres Alatorre Nuno and Venkata Amara won the Flight B East Championship in dominant fashion with victories of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2. After tallying a 6-1 win, Maximo Lopina and Hunter Morton battled to a 7-5 victory over Deshpande & Ravindran of RPI in the Flight C West Championship.
• Andrew Nelson and Thompson Brown reached the Flight A Semifinals after grabbing a 6-3 win over a team from Drew. John Pope and Will Bohner made the Flight C East Semifinals after rolling to a 6-0 win in the Quarters. Peter Bilicic and Keyon'Dre Clarke made the quarterfinals of the Flight B East bracket.
• In singles play, the Bantams captured three individual bracket championships with Alatorre Nuno winning Flight B, Brown taking Flight C, and Nelson reigning over Flight D.
• Garbati, Jackson, Bohner and Clarke all advanced to the Championship match in their respective brackets, with Jackson, Bohner and Clarke battling teammates in the finale.
• Golubenko and Bilicic made the Semifinals of their brackets, while Lopina and Pope reached the Quarterfinals.

• The Bantams will be back in action when they compete at the ITA New England Championships, hosted by Middlebury College, in Middlebury, Vermont from September 25-27. Matches will kick off at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
