WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. - The Trinity College women's golf team finished tied for fourth place following two rounds of competition at Williams Fall Invitational at the Taconic Golf Club. The Bantams carded a 56-over-par team score, posting a 29-over opening round before improving by two strokes with a 27-over performance in the final round.

Trinity finished tied with Wellesley and Babson, while Middlebury captured the team title at +30. This is the programs strongest finish in a 15 field tournament in program history. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Zorah Williams led the Bantams with a standout weekend, finishing third overall at five-over par. Williams opened with a four-over round before firing a one-over final round, highlighted by three birdies on the front nine.
• CC Kaplan joined Williams inside the top 10, finishing T-9th at nine-over par. Kaplan opened at +2 before closing the tournament with a seven-over second round.
• Meg Lavinder finished T-35th at +18, posting matching nine-over rounds across the two-day tournament.
• Mia Lombardi finished T-47th at +24, improving four strokes in the final round after opening at +14 and closing at +10.
• Malisha Van rounded out the Bantams' lineup, finishing T-58th at +30 with matching 15-over rounds.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Trinity finished T-4th at +56, improving from +29 in the opening round to +27 in round two.
• The Bantams placed two golfers inside the top 10, led by Williams in third and Kaplan tied for ninth.
• Williams posted Trinity's lowest round of the weekend with her one-over final round.
• Williams recorded four birdies in the final round, including three across holes four, five and 10.
• Trinity finished 13 strokes behind third-place Amherst (+43) and tied with Wellesley and Babson.

NEXT UP
Bantams Women's Golf Team will travel to Middletown, Conn. the weekend of Saturday October 3^rd and Sunday October 4^th for the Wesleyan Golf Invitational hosted by the Cardinals at the Silver Springs Country Club. Round one tee times will begin at 10:30AM on Saturday.
