MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Trinity College Men's Tennis team continued their individual competition, grabbing four victories at the 2026 ITA New England Championships, hosted by Middlebury College, at the Middlebury Outdoor Tennis Courts over the weekend.
 
What Happened:

• In doubles action, the duo of Luca Garbati and Maxim Golubenko captured an 8-2 victory over Dwyer/Ameral of UMass-Boston before falling to the team of Catanzaro/Zia of Bowdoin in the Round of 32. Andrew Nelson and Thompson Brown fell to the host duo of Yim/Kondamuri.
• In the Singles A bracket, Golubenko advanced to the Round of 32 with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) win over Muaz Malik of Brandeis, but fell to Andreas Sillaste of Amherst , 6-0, 6-2, in the following round. Luca Garbati suffered a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Simon Catanzaro of Bowdoin in the opening round.
• Dean Jackson reached the Roud of 16 in the Single B bracket, defeating Alex Georgiev of Brandeis (8-7 (7-4)), and Sean Park of Bates (8-5), and then battled Nico Tremblay of Tufts in a 6-4, 6-2 defeat. Nelson and Brown each picked up a win in the consolation bracket.
